Shanaka Yasarathne, Chief Executive Officer of Bartleet Produce Marketing (BPML) leads by example. He is an exceptionally talented, career focused, creative and innovative self-starter with a very positive attitude dealing in situational leadership and providing customer focused results. Possessing excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and, he is valued as a great team player with a capacity for flexibility and is receptive to change.

Shanaka’s affinity for leadership was recognized at school level as a student of the prestigious Trinity College Kandy, where he captained the 1^st XV Rugby team in 1999 and took on various roles of responsibility. Furthermore, the quintessential leader is an avid sportsman, having been in the hockey and cricket teams at school as well, apart from rugby which he pursued for a few more years, representing the Havelocks Sports Club and Sri Lanka Army Sport Club.

With a career spanning over nineteen years in the Tea industry as a Tea Planter and a Tea Taster/ Broker, he has contributed to the exponential growth of BPML since joining the company in 2018.
